Building on the success of last year Culross Festival has produced an exciting programme of events with music at the heart of it, using the unique venues in our historic village.

New for 2014 is a drama production, God’s Official using the converted stables

as a unique venue. A comedy by Robert Farquhar, this will be our opening event on the evening of Thursday 14 August.

The music begins on Friday 15 August in the Royal Tent on the Village Green.   The Grand Ceilidh will be danced to the excellent  ‘The Jiggers’ ceilidh band – and the ever popular supper is included. So get on your dancing shoes as there is a lively night ahead.

On Saturday the Bands will be setting up for their big event, the ‘Gig on the Green’. The main stage will host SEVEN great bands from far and wide, in this musical spectacular running from 2.30 to 10.30.

A relaxing Sunday morning will have Story Telling in the Royal Tent with authors and storytellers combining to provide entertainment for all from 10:30 to 13: 00.

Sunday afternoon we hit the high notes with our ever-popular Outdoor Opera in the beautiful setting of the Abbey House garden. Be inspired by ‘The Ivor Novello Story’ sung by Classical Musicians Scotland, and soak up the Scottish Glyndebourne experience with your own posh picnic in the grounds.

The Festival concludes with a delightful finale in Culross Abbey with the musical talents of the ‘Hardwood’ duo.

We are sure you will find plenty to enjoy in this exciting Festival in a unique setting.
