13 participants stepped up to the challenge at The Brew Dog in Aberdeen for the first heat of Ultimate Bartender Challenge 2016.
There was an eager crowd gathered to witness a very close competition with contenders struggling most on the nosing round. The heat was eventually won by Jonathon Arthur, a local barman. As it stands Jonathon is top of the national leaderboard and is heading to New Orleans for the final in a few months unless his score can be beaten. He was also awarded a limited editition Konga Shaker, the revolutionary cocktail shaker from Monkey Shoulder as a prize.
Monday the competition arrives in Glasgow and then it moves onto Edinburgh Tuesday. There’s still time to sign up for both heats, either as a spectator or a challenger.
